Silence 1
For my father, who listens
A cold song playing in my floating head,
Sighing familiar old tunes of times past,
Coffee, thick espresso, pouring darkly, steaming,
Birds all flying away for the winter.
Buildings rising out of trees, quiet brown-green leaves,
Impermanence built of plastic and paraffin, fire and smoke;
Lives built on sand dunes of fragile structures,
Fragile bodies built of [...]

Call me if you need to talk
I’ll listen without judging you
I’ll let you say whatever you need to say;
Call me when you need to talk,
I don’t mind if you cry,
Complain or get angry.
Call me if you need to hear my voice,
Call me any time
I’ll always have time for you,
I’ll always smile when I hear its [...]

Struggling with the dreamer’s curse,
Striving for a clear thought,
The road is open, your choice no worse,
Defend or lose what you have wrought.
Though fears torment by day and night,
And duties weigh upon your soul,
Can you enjoy the mountain sight,
Yet forced to pay life’s heavy toll?
In bright future or darkest past,
Anchors neither cruel nor kind,
The mind’s thick [...]

Losing
I lost free flowing words -
My mind settled patterns of thought
Were carved in stone winds
Raged across barren plains
No trees grew, no life nor spring.
I found you -
Seeking touch I felt
Breath;
I lost you -
Dry tears fell.
Finding
Patient illumination seeps
Quiet drops distilling
My glow alights, waiting, growing
Warmth emerges caressing
Words can hold, lift, float
Mind once engulfed
Cries swooping;
Tangled vines hold strength
Beyond [...]

Sex
What do I know about sex?
Sex is not very erotic when you analyse it. Experience is everything.
Words about sex are not sexy, but sexy thoughts are.
Words about interesting things are empty, but interesting ideas are full.
Past:
She glanced as she undressed. In naked skin he saw his desires reflected.
She sighed as she undressed. In naked skin [...]

Something I wrote a while ago…
Unknown threat
to escape from the past
hide from your fear
shy away from life
on the edge of being
waves wet your toes
days washing away
fear a life of sadness
mundane struggle
the unkown threat
*
in the right place now
the view clear
inside and out
flames shimmering within
life alight
a fuse ignited
stress and worry
the acids eating away
your happiness
fear a wind
eroding your [...]
