When the world is in chaos, it is a wonder that people go back to poetry reading, and writing.

If we look at history, all the big events in human triumphs are chronicled by great artists – writers and visual artist – painters/photographers.

Recently, in the sept 11 twin tower tragedy – there was an outpouring of poems that greatly helped many victims and the people in general affected by the tragedy to find healing in writing and reading poetry that serve to ease the pain, to soothe the wounded spirits, for poetry serves like a balm that soothes the heart.

Tapping our creative side help us re-connect with our hopeful self – the child within inside our hearts. That’s the reason why creativity could make magic, it makes a difference for us and the people who will be touched by artworks in whatever form that only the language of our souls could fully express and understand.

So this is the reason why you’ve been away for too long, M.
You have reinvented your writing style and stepped your thought process into higher level.

This is very interesting pondering – there’s no end to it because there’s so much more inside your head, inside your heart. Let it out. Pour it on to pages until you fathom yourself fully and in the process make your reader understand. The last 2 paragraph strum a chord in my heart – read my article “cover story” to understand – I made a statement similar to that in my opening paragraph. Here’s the line from that article:

“I write because I feel that something inside me needs to be said, a voice wanting to be heard, a seed needing to see the light of day. . .”

Rain dripping beyond the window,
Steady downpour -
You capture child-like essence in your freshness
Am I aware?

Are you? Are you conscious of your impact,
The effect you have on me?
Do you realise your power
To dispel my fears?

Inventing stars, creating light and shadows,
Coffee and cigars,
Warmth surrounds me
Am I aware?

Are you? Are you ready for your calling,
To write about the rain?
Will you carry the star-flow,
And open a path to the valley of desires?

Are you aware of the warmth that surrounds you,
The soft powdery light?

I am happy to have come across this entry. I have been very restless lately and it has force me to take some chances, get organized and get motivated to make some positive changes in my life. It is refreshing to remind yourself that a feeling of restlessness or a feeling of being unsettled is most of the time a positive thing. It keeps you learning, evolving, and later appreciating life.
